Only Alitalia, among the world's leading airlines, was missing from the roll call, perhaps because it was engaged in a struggle for survival.

In this article:

The news, however ,is finally here: miles expiring on 12/31/20 will be renewed by 12 months. Nothing is yet known, however, about the elite statuses of the Millemiglia collection.

To date, almost all airlines have frozen the deadlines for at least 12 months, some even for 18 or 24. At the same time, many airlines have special promotions in place to earn more qualifying miles for their customers (AirFrance/KLM), others have discounted the levels of points needed to earn statuses (British Airways) with promotions that will go on until late spring.

At the moment the Italian company, which will soon change its name to ITA (Italiana Trasporto Aereo), has a promotion running until the end of October in which it offers double miles.
