There are fewer and fewer opportunities to fly on the A380. Many (of the few) companies that used to have the iconic airplane in their fleet have decided to retire him for good because of Covid-19, there are currently only two airlines flying the largest passenger plane that has ever taken its wheels off the ground-China Eastern and Emirates.
In this article:
The Emirates airline resumed flying first with its 777s and later with the A380. And today came the announcement that from November 1, first and business class passengers will be able to return to the full experience at 40,000 feet.
Emirates redesigns signature onboard experience by reinstating its iconic @Airbus A380 Onboard Lounge and Shower Spa service offering after a thorough health and safety review. https://t.co/BNQlWBqiSb #FlyEmiratesFlyBetter #BackInTheGame pic.twitter.com/4OsRbkzhvY

The company had resumed using the giant of the skies, however, keeping the showers for first class passengers and the bar for all premium passengers closed. From next month everything will return (almost) as before, the in-flight bar will reopen with fewer seats and suggesting passengers to enjoy their drink directly in their seats. The shower doors will also be reopened, remembering that Emirates was the first airline to offer this service on board.
Passengers who wish to use the shower have 5 minutes of hot water and half an hour to be able to prepare in the private bathroom, a new Voya-branded beauty kit will be delivered, as well as a disposable bath towel and a menu to choose additional services.
In addition, Emirates' onboard dining experience will return to its exclusive service, observing strict hygiene protocols. Customers in all classes will be able to enjoy multi-course meals and choose from a complimentary selection of beverages including wine and beer, as well as juices and soft drinks.
Unfortunately, Emirates does not currently operate A380s from Italy to Dubai or even to New York. To shower then one must depart from London, Paris, and Amsterdam the only routes that are currently operated with A380s.
Important to mention how Emirates was the first airline to insure its passengers, regardless of travel class, on Covid-19 risk free of charge.
