In chronological order, this is the youngest loyalty program, or rather, the latest to be revamped in both content and name, moving from Club Accor to Accor Live Limitless.
In this article:
It is the loyalty program of the French chain Accor, which boasts a total of 34 brands, spread across 110 countries, for nearly 4,000 establishments.
How the ALL program works
From the latest product, you would expect a product that takes its cues from all competitors by creating some sort of ideal loyalty program. Nothing could be more wrong, since it is probably the most complicated system and full of variables, very often, not even the employees themselves are clear about how things work.
Let's start with the statuses
There are five elite levels plus one, the most exclusive level the "limitless" is not published and is by invitation only. Status can be earned in 3 ways:
- Staying a minimum number of nights
- Spending a certain amount in the facilities
- By obtaining a minimum number of level points
Benefits*
- Classic Level is the first step; it is obtained simply by registering. The benefits here are small: access to user-only rates and discounts for expenses incurred in hotels.
- Silver Level is obtained after staying 10 nights or spending €800 in the facilities or after earning 2,000 level points. The benefits for users at this level are: a welcome drink and the ability to get (subject to availability) late check-out.
- Gold Level, you need 30 nights or €2,800 in spending, which can be translated into 7,000 level points. It is the first level to obtain attractive benefits, although compared to the competition it offers much less than what is needed to obtain it. The customer will get, upon request and subject to availability, an upgrade and the option of early check-in or late check-out. Added to this is a welcome gift and late afternoon room turndown service.
- Platinum level, you must stay at least 60 nights or spend €5,600, then get 14k tier points. Benefits grow, but not as you would expect since you get free breakfast, but only in Asia-Pacific hotels, executive lounge access (if available at the hotel, excluding Fairmont Gold) and you can request, subject to availability, both early check-in and late check-out. Finally, there are then small benefits in some specific chains and a larger discount in other charges.
-  Diamond Level no number of nights is required but a minimum spend of €10,400 or 26 thousand level points. The added benefit is free breakfast worldwide, but only on weekends. Otherwise, again, small benefits are added depending on the sign.
*Each level also gets the benefits provided by the previous level.
How to accumulate points
Points can be earned in various ways:
- Staying in the facilities
- Spending money on the services offered by the facilities (spas, restaurants, consumptions...)
- Spending with partners (rentals, airlines, online shopping)
There are two types of points: level points and rewards points.
The level points are those that allow you to obtain/renew status and you earn 5 to 25 points for every 10 euros spent in the various hotels, regardless of the status you have. Every year you start from scratch (barring promotions).
The rewards points are those you would use to redeem free stays and other benefits at Accor properties. You earn different points based on hotel category and status level held. Rewards points never expire, as long as you stay at a participating hotel at least once a year.
Let's give two examples: A newly registered customer books a night at a Mercure hotel and spends €100. At the end of the stay he will have accumulated 250 rewards points and as many level points. The same reservation made by a user with Gold level will allow him to earn 370 rewards points but still 250 level points.
Earn points at restaurants, spas and partners
When you spend in the activities inside the hotels such as spa, restaurants, minibar, telephone, paytv and others you will earn 1 point for every € spent.
How the points are spent
In this respect, perhaps, the ALL program is certainly the most imaginative of all. It not only offers the possibility of booking and paying for rooms using points, or partially paying for the cost of the room at a conversion rate of 2,000 points = 40 euros. But it offers the possibility of buying experiences such as exclusive dinners, shopping online, allocating them to social or environmental projects, and even converting them to programs airline loyalty, car rentals, and much more.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Paris Saint Germain, ALL users can buy tickets, have experiences with players and more.
