Throughout the year, a series of promotions are published that allow people to redeem award tickets for the entire immense network of the two companies, on both short-haul and long-haul destinations.
While in the former case it is almost always a waste of miles against the cost of the ticket and taxes, in the latter case real bargains can be found.
