We told it firsthand, aboard the cruise ships feels like living in the "world before".

Shows, restaurants, bars, entertainment are the norm, with, of course, manic attention to security protocols and contact tracing to know, just in case, who was too close to whom.
The itinerary, which remains unchanged from this fall's, will offer guests the opportunity to discover Italy's most beautiful locations, thanks to 3- and 4-day mini-cruises or alternatively a full 7-day cruise, with stops in Savona, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples, Messina and Cagliari.
Starting May 1, Costa Smeralda will instead return to offer weeklong cruises in the Western Mediterranean, visiting Italy (Savona, Civitavecchia and Palermo), France (Marseille) and Spain (Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca).
A second ship, Costa Luminosa, will return to service on May 2 from Trieste, and the following day from Bari, confirming its program of weeklong cruises to Greece and Croatia.
The company is working with national and local authorities in the countries included in its ships' itineraries outside Italy to detail how its operations will be carried out, with health and safety procedures further enhanced through the implementation of the Costa Safety Protocol.
Costa's protocol contains operational measures related to all aspects of the cruise experience, on board as well as as ashore, which have already been implemented in the ships' final months of operation. Measures include reducing the number of passengers, swab testing for all guests and crew, temperature control every time you disembark and re-enter the ship, visiting destinations only with protected excursions, physical distancing on board and in the terminals, new ways of using onboard services, enhanced sanitation and medical services, and the use of a protective mask when necessary.
Details of the itineraries, with the possibility of purchasing them, will be available soon on the website and in travel agencies.
Other cruises scheduled through the end of May, not included in the schedule updated today, will be canceled. Costa is in the process of informing travel agents and customers affected by the changes.
