"Ciudad de La Habana," a new Boeing 787/900, landed in Verona, home of Neos Air's technical center, and is the sixth in the fleet for the carrier owned by tour operator Alpitour.
In this article:
After titling his latest Dreamliner to the poet Catullus, just in honor of the Venetian capital that has always housed the company's technical center, this time the dedication is to a city that is also among the historic destinations for the charter carrier.
Again, the 787/900 is from the former fleet of Norwegian, as the low-cost carrier is known, has abandoned intercontinental routes because of the severe financial crisis, which started before the pandemic and with Covid took the brunt of it.
The plane is very young, like all of the Norwegian compagnai's former fleet. It entered service in September 2017, but in fact has not flown for almost a year. It was very popular in the Norwegian fleet because it bore the Unicef logo on its tail.
With this entry into the fleet Neos is increasingly positioning itself as a carrier capable of meeting many needs. Forget the old "charter flights," in this case we are talking about one of the most modern aircraft on the world market.
Where Neos' Dreamliners Fly
The destinations are the medium- to long-haul ones that host Alpitour resorts in Africa and the Caribbean. Neos also collaborates with Costa Cruises for cruise+flight packages and also offers seats on board its aircraft for sale directly on its website.
