La Compagnie, the only one offering only business class seats is ready to go again

There is a European airline that offers only business class seats, it is French and is called La Compagnie. Before the pandemic it operated out of two airports from Paris and Nice, but thanks to partnerships with some carriers such as Easyjet it allows(goes) you to depart from many Italian airports, stop over in Paris or in Côte d'Azur, and depart again for New York.

With a fleet consisting only of brand new Airbus A321neo is unique in the world of aviation. Voted last year as the best French airline by Tripadvisor users, it was also ranked eighth on the list of the best 1o airlines operating in the United States by the prestigious Travel and Leisure.

The special feature is that for its connections between Paris (Orly) and Nice to New York (Newark) it offers only business class seats.

On board the Airbus A321 there are only 76 seats divided into 19 rows. Being a single-aisle aircraft, the cabin configuration includes a 2-2 layout.

In the cabin, everything is taken care of down to the last detail starting with the comfortable armchairs that turn into comfortable beds.

Each station is equipped with a screen of more than 15 inches, and there is wi-fi on board.

 

But the pampering for passengers begins on the ground with the possibility of booking transfers to and from the airport by helicopter as well and, of course, the ever-present lounges at all the airports served.

How much does it cost to fly with La Compagnie

Promotions aside, the price ranges from about €1,700 for a round-trip ticket and goes up depending on the period.

A price aligned with traditional airlines on one of the routes, Paris/New York, among the busiest in the world and packed with business passengers.

The Compagnie also offers a simple, but effective, loyalty program that allows people to earn points from flights that can be used to book award tickets or discount extra services on board.

You earn 1 to 5 points per flight, depending on the fare of the ticket.

Booking an award ticket costs from 40 points for low season and doubles in high season. Also interesting is the fact that you can also buy a one-way ticket at no extra charge.

In conclusion

The Compagnie is unique; I am curious to find out how they will restart in this post-pandemic environment. Certainly being able to offer an intercontinental flight with fewer than 80 passengers will ensure that travelers will have spacing and uncrowded planes. Conversely, it is a given that business travel will be the last to restart and filling all those seats will be difficult for a few years.
