In an order signed by Health Minister Roberto Speranza, the following was extended Until April 30, the 5-day quarantine requirement for those entering or returning to Italy from European Union countries for tourism. The procedure also includes a requirement to undergo an anticovid test with a negative result before entering Italy. The 5-day isolation ends only if the result of another antigenic or molecular swab is negative. It should be emphasized that all restrictions do not affect those who arrive in Italy with "Covid-tested" flights.

Countries for which quarantine is planned
Among the new features is the inclusion of United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Austria and Israel In the list of "Safe states". In addition, there is no longer a 15-day fiduciary isolation: the Ministry of Health has extended until April 30 the 5-day quarantine for all those traveling to or returning for tourism from all European Union countries.
Also included are the Faroe Islands, Greenland, all French and Spanish territories located outside the European continent, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Reunion, Mayotte, the Azores, and Madeira. In all cases, local restrictions must be observed, and the return to Italy almost always involves a buffer requirement.
In a registered note, it was also specified that it is allowed to travel to the airport in case of travel for tourism even if you live in the orange or red zone. "Trips aimed at reaching the place of departure of this type of travel are justified. As they are generally allowed, they cannot be compressed or restricted in their own performance," the note clarifies, stressing, however, that one must have self-certification.
What's new and Extra-EU countries
Austria, the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Israel are among the states where there is a 5-day quarantine. The only exception is for Who comes from the Tyrol, in which case the two-week quarantine remains. Same for all states outside the European Union. Anyone returning to Italy from one of these countries or from EU countries will have to obligatorily Undergo swabbing (molecular or antigenic) carried out in the 48 hours before entry into Italy and whose result is negative, undergo health surveillance and fiduciary isolation for fourteen days and at the end of isolation carry out another test.
