Marriott relies heavily on Edition. There are eight lifestyle brand hotels planned between 2021 and 2022. An ambitious project that also involves Italy, with an eye toward the city of Rome. The work is expected to be divided equally between this year and the next, with our country falling in the top four.

It will be necessary to wait until the second part of 2021 to admire the Capitol Edition, for which there is already great anticipation. The idea is to have it rise within walking distance of via Veneto, one of the most important and busiest in the Eternal City. Should plans be met, the opening will take place in the fall. An ideal time, considering how next summer will be crucial to jumpstart tourism in Europe and around the world.
The hotel will be carved out of the conversion of a historic building designed by Cesare Pascoletti, with the collaboration of Marcello Piacentini. The facility will offer its clientele a total of 95 rooms, including a spectacular Penthouse suite. A premium option featuring a private terrace of more than 120 sqm.
As was easy to predict, a gourmet restaurant will also be built in order to offer international customers the best of refined Italian cuisine. The facility will take advantage of outdoor spaces, with the offerings also being enhanced by the Punch Room bar and a rooftop terrace. Guests will also be able to take advantage of a state-of-the-art gymnasium and two rooms dedicated to spa treatments.

- Dubai: fall 2021 - 210 rooms
- Madrid: beginning 2022 - 200 rooms
- Tampa: beginning 2022 - 172 rooms
- Riviera Maya: summer 2022 - 180 rooms
- Doha: fall 2022 - 200 rooms
There is no shortage, however, of long-term plans. Looking beyond the 2022 mark, in fact, Edition hotels are planned in Las Vegas, Nashville, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, although timelines have not yet been disclosed.

An interesting line Marriott has taken regarding its Edition brand. The path followed leads straight to the heart of a younger clientele, who find in these establishments a style suited to modern times, capable of capturing the gaze of a generation born and raised on the Internet, far from the palate of a slightly more classic audience, so to speak.
