Jet2.com, full name Jet2.com Limited, is a British low-cost airline. Based in Leeds-Bradford, it has several bases between England and Spain. And it also has a presence in Italy. Indeed: it is in Italy that it intends to intensify its presence, opening new connections between Olbia and the UK.

But what do Jet2.com's rates look like and what is its mission?
Where Jet2.com flies
La fleet of Jet2.com, in 2021, consists of:
- 1 Airbus A321-200
- 7 Boeing 737-300
- 74 Boeing 737-800
- 8 Boeing 757-200
Its philosophy is clear: to offer low-cost flights, competing with carriers such as easyJet and Ryanair. And never more so than at this time does it prove a winner, given the vaccine situation in the UK (which has "free all" announced for next May 17, with travel resumption attached) and the growing demand for stays in and around London. England is, in fact, seen to date as a Safe country on the Covid front. And the dream of a New Year's Eve under Big Ben, or a sojourn in the English countryside for the spring of 2022, is increasingly heard.
Italy, Jet2.com flies to and from Naples, Florence, Rome, Olbia, Catania, Turin, Venice and Verona. Although the company also serves Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and of course the United Kingdom, from Italy you can only fly to England. At least for the time being.
Some cost examples? A Naples-London flight in June costs €94, a flight Turin-Manchester in December €74. Of course, this is still a very small supply because of the travel restrictions that the pandemic has brought with it.
Jet2.com's expansion plans in Italy
L'summer 2022, however, will see an increase in the routes of Jet2.com. The British low-cost carrier, just considering the growing demand for UK vacations, has announced that it will implement connections with its main Italian hub: Olbia. From May 2022, the Sardinian airport will be regularly connected with Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted.
Steve Heapy, ad of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said, "We are continuing to see great demand for summer 2o22, so we are adding Sardinia to our program to give customers and travel agents even more choice." Also because, while it is true that Italians love to go to England for New Year's Eve or a weekend getaway, it is even more true that British tourists love to spend their summers in Italy. "We are delighted to welcome Jet2.com to Olbia Airport. The entry of the new carrier, enriched by the presence of the tour operator jet2hodlidays, is in line with our airport's strategy of expanding its network in the United Kingdom. A market that, we are sure, will contribute to the recovery of traffic in the coming years," Silvio Pippobello, CEO of Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, commented in this regard.
And it is precisely on the summer of 2022 that Jet2.com is betting, also on the strength of the positive reviews it has accumulated over the years (reviews that earned it the 2020 Travellers' Choice).
