Another step toward normalcy comes from France with the official announcement of the reopening of Disneyland Paris. The date set is the June 17, 2021 when Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney's Newport Bay Club, and Disney Village will once again raise their shutters and return to host visitors following reinforced health and safety measures.
Reopening after the Oct. 29 blockade

With about 27,000 guests per day (in 2018), the Disneyland Paris parks and Walt Disney Studio are the first destination tourism in Europe. Because of Covid, the resort reopened in mid-July after the first blockade imposed by the pandemic, only to close again on October 29 following new restrictions announced by the French president.
"We have all dreamed of this moment," said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, "when we can come together and enjoy unforgettable moments with our family and friends.
The new conditions for the reopening of Disneyland
Guests can extend the magic with a stay at other Disney hotels, which will gradually open their doors: Disney's Newport Bay Club on June 17, Disney's Hotel Cheyenne on July 1, and Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch on July 15. Reopening dates for Disney's Sequoia Lodge Hotel and Disney's Hotel Santa Fe will be announced at a later date. The Disneyland Hotel, however, remains closed for now for renovations.
Disneyland Paris will welcome guests with a limited number of tickets available each day using an online reservation system. To guarantee admission, guests (including annual pass holders) must register with the system and obtain a reservation for park entry prior to their arrival. Exempt from this are visitors who have purchased a package that includes admission to the park (it will be guaranteed for the duration of their stay) and those who already have an outdated ticket. In these cases, there is no lack of flexibility: in fact, the reservation can be cancelled up to three days before the date of the visit.
Regarding experiences, attractions, shows or events, some of them will not be available or may be changed or cancelled without notice depending on the evolution of health and safety measures and recommendations of public authorities and weather conditions. The New Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel
The return of Disneyland Paris will be accompanied by the opening of the Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel. It will open on June 21, but there is an opportunity to make reservations from May 18. It is about the first hotel in the world Marvel-themed Manhattan style, where the most extraordinary artworks from the world of superheroes are brought together. It is a completely renovated 4-star hotel with 350 original masterpieces created by 110 international artists.
Among the goodies featured are the Marvel Hero Photo Stations for a totally immersive photography experience and the Marvel Design Studio, a great place to unleash your creativity and become a comic book artist. For all guests there is also the opportunity to experience a cosmopolitan culinary journey with an art dico-style restaurant. If you prefer Italian cuisine, however, better opt for the Manhattan Restaurant, where you will be served under the splendid Asgard chandelier. And if after dinner we want to enjoy classic American cocktails, Skyline Bar is the place to be.
Disney's other theme parks
If we have to wait until mid-June 2021 for the reopening of Disneyland Paris, the theme park in California has, however, already been operating since last July 11 when Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopened, followed a few days later by Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Disney's parks in Orlando have a new reservation system to limit capacity, and fireworks and parades have been suspended.
Disney World resorts and hotels began reopening at the end of June 2020, while the Disney Springs shopping and dining area had to wait until May 20, 2021. As of May 12, social removal requirements have been phased out at Disney World in outdoor areas, and as of May 15, it is optional to wear masks in outdoor areas and on pool decks, but it is still mandatory on attractions, in theaters, on all transportation, and in all indoor areas such as restaurants and stores.
The situation in Hong Kong and Tokyo
Several the stop&go for theHong Kong Disneyland. The first official reopening date (with reduced capacity and a new reservation system) was in the summer of last year, exactly June 18, but practically a month later (July 15) the resort had to close after a spike in Coronavirus cases in the region. The theme park's shutters went up again on Sept. 25, but only five days a week (closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as is still the case) and with online advance reservation required.
Hong Kong Disneyland was forced to close for the third time on Dec. 2 due to a resurgence of cases. It then reopened on Feb. 19 to continue the park's 15th anniversary celebrations.
As for the Tokyo Disney Resort reopened on July 1, 2020, while Disneyland Shanghai May 11, 2020. As of August 24, capacity was increased from 30% to 50% and fireworks displays resumed. Restaurants and stores reopened on March 9.
