Costa's presence in the Mediterranean will be further strengthened by Tuscany Coast, a new "green" ship powered by liquefied natural gas, currently under construction, which will debut in December 2021. Throughout 2022 Will be devoted to seven-day cruises in the western Mediterranean, which will make it possible to visit two attractive Spanish destinations in the same vacation, such as Barcelona and Valencia in spring, or Ibiza and Valencia in summer. Costa's offer for winter 2021-22 will be complemented by four more ships. Costa Diadema will depart on Sept. 26 from Savona, offering long cruises to Turkey and Greece or Spain and Portugal, and then place in the Caribbean from December, with three different itineraries exploring the most beautiful Caribbean islands. Costa Fascinosa will return to service on Sept. 23, again from Savona, for 10-day cruises to Lisbon, then move to South America during the winter. Costa Deliziosa will continue with its Eastern Mediterranean cruise program until January 8, 2022, when it will depart for the World Tour. Finally, Costa Luminosa, already currently operating in the eastern Mediterranean, will offer two-week cruises during the coming winter in the Canary Islands or in Israel.
During the 2022 summer season, in addition to the Costa Firenze, Costa Smeralda and Costa Toscana, which will be cruising in the Western Mediterranean, there will be other Three ships in the eastern part of the Mediterranean: Costa Deliziosa, Costa Luminosa and Costa Pacifica. In Northern Europe Four ships will operate, Costa Diadema, Costa Fascinosa, Costa Favolosa and Costa Fortuna, which will offer cruises to Baltic cities and Norwegian fjords.
