Where to swab before you can leave? A question with a variety of answers and possibilities, one among them: the airport. Many of Italy's large facilities are adequately prepared for the anti Covid-19 test, so as to facilitate boarding and, at the same time, conduct checks on incoming tourists and returning residents back home.

Fiumicino Airport
If At Ciampino, no anti Covid-19 testing is conducted., different the speech at Fiumicino. There is no facility inside the main airport building, but rather a drive-in. The Lazio region relies on the memorandum of understanding with the Red Cross, which makes it possible to guarantee a service to the citizenry thanks to the health workers made available. Catania Airport
Since July 19, screening of arriving passengers by swabbing has been active again. The dedicated area has been set up inside Terminal B. The facility looks not only at arrivals, allowing everyone to undergo a quick test, on a voluntary basis. All that is needed is a boarding pass, showing the need to depart or attesting to arrival at the airport. It is good to remember how you do not need a reservation or form.
Palermo Airport
It is possible to perform a rapid anti Covid-19 test with report in as little as 25 minutes. The facility provides this optionally. This is done at a specific facility, which can be reached by following a pedestrian path indicated by signs once you reach the Arrivals Terminal exit. Completion of a registration and acceptance form is required. The latter will then be sent to the indicated e-mail address. Everything will be ready upon arrival at the Covid test area and will significantly shorten the waiting time for screening.
Airports in Sardinia
The president of the Sardinia Region, Solinas, commented on the new concerns raised about security. The Sardinian territory is among the most popular when it comes to vacations, both by Italians and foreigners. For this reason, anti Covid-19 tests have been announced, via buffer, at ports and airports. A measure that, for now, turns its gaze to those coming from or returning from risk areas, namely (for the moment)Malta, Spain, Portugal, France and the United Kingdom.
Verona Airport
The Veneto Region, in a July 19 order, recommends screening, by swab, for all individuals from the United Kingdom, Malta, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Portugal, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Romania, and Bulgaria. As of Tuesday, July 20, the airport has set up a swab point. To reach it, one must go to the arrivals hall before the exit. This is managed by ULSS9. A totally free service, at least for individuals from the countries mentioned.
Airports in Abruzzo
The president Marco Marsilio signed a new ordinance. A mandatory swabbing requirement has been instituted for anyone coming from Malta, Spain, and the United Kingdom. A measure that has already identified a large number of positives coming from Girona, Catalonia, and arriving in Pescara. A quarantine was triggered for passengers on the flight.
Naples Airport
Vincenzo De Luca, president of the Campania Region, does not intend to take any chances. There will be increased anti Covid-19 checks for those returning to Campania, landing at the airport in Capodichino. All passengers, of direct or transit flights, from the List C countries, as well as by Japan, Canada e United States, or who have spent part of the last 14 days in one of these places, will have to be screened, if they do not present a Green Pass, attesting to their vaccination or recovery from Covid. All of this is free of charge. That said, inside the airport, for those departing, a quick swab can be booked for a fee.
