The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has launched the "Faster, Together" a national campaign explaining how vaccination can bring us back together, faster. "The message is simple: the faster we all do our part and get vaccinated, the faster we can all come back together and get our lives and businesses back to normal," said Canadian Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Perrin Beatty.

The initiative stems from the collaboration of over 100 organizations representing business, industry and education sectors, labor unions, influencers and national brands. The initiative is co-chaired by Bruce Anderson (Abacus Data, spark* Advocacy) and Hassan Yusseff (Canadian Labour Congress) and was built on a voluntary basis with the goal of accelerating recovery to normalcy. "Faster, Together" also provided creative resources for partner organizations. The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of vaccines among staff, colleagues and friends. Materials and content for TV, digital and social media are planned.
"Vaccination is an important tool in the fight against Covid-19. Innovative initiatives such as "Faster, Together" bring organizations together to encourage Canadians to vaccinate when it's their turn, protecting themselves and their communities and helping us get back together, faster," said Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health. Among the organizations that have joined "Faster, Together" is Air Canada. A clear signal of the desire to restart.
Canada's reopening to the United States and the rest of the world
Canada reopens its borders to Americans as of midnight Monday, Aug. 9, while September 7 is the date set for reopening to the rest of the world. Obviously, entry into the country will be granted to Who has completed the vaccination cycle with a vaccine recognized by the Canadian government (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca). Proof of vaccination will need to be uploaded to the ArriveCAN app or portal. In addition, a negative test no older than 72 hours will also need to be submitted. You will also need to bring a hard or digital copy of the vaccination certificate to show to the government official (if requested). By fulfilling all these requirements, you will no longer have to undergo the 14-day quarantine.
The airports allowing international flights (for the few allowed to enter Canada) are only those in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Starting August 9, you will also be able to land at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, and Edmonton International Airport.
