Argentina intends to look ahead toward a slow return to normalcy. The steady decline in Covid cases and deaths has prompted the government to announce a serious Loosening the grip in terms of security measures. A process that will begin in October and will aim, among other things, to revive the tourism sector. After the United States, therefore, also Argentina is ready (almost) to reopen its doors.
In this article:
"We are experiencing a decidedly positive moment," said Health Minister Carla Vizzotti -.We are well aware that the pandemic is not over and that we must remain cautious. However, we are moving in the direction of a full return of activities." Less restrictions and more freedoms for businesses operating in enclosed spaces, where masks will still be mandatory. The same goes for theaters, cinemas, public transportation and areas at risk of assemblages. From October 1, however, it will no longer be mandatory to wear it outdoors (unless situations are considered risky).
Argentina, the return of tourists
Doors open to tourists? Not right away, at least for pleasure. Anyone planning to fly from Italy to Argentina, for example, will have to prove that they have work motivations. The first change made in this regard relates precisely to employment-related travel. This applies to both residents and foreigners, to whom Isolation period on arrival will no longer be required. However, it will be necessary to have received the second dose of vaccine at least 14 days before arrival and to bring the necessary documentation with you.
Starting in October, however, travel for tourism purposes will be allowed to all neighboring countries without quarantine requirements. The date everyone is undoubtedly looking forward to, however, is theNovember 1. It will be then, in fact, that all foreign nationals will be given the opportunity to return to travel to Argentina for pure enjoyment. It will be possible to once again organize vacations in this beautiful land, conscious of the fact that they will not have to undergo any period of quarantine. All that is required is a full course of vaccination, with Second dose inoculated for at least 14 days, and a negative swab.
Anyone intending to travel to Argentina, while not having received the full cycle, will have to undergo an isolation period of at least seven days. At the end of this phase, a swab will have to be taken to check health status. In case of negativity, one will be free to circulate. Another exception to be taken into account, however unlikely, is that of a person who has arrived in Argentina without having a negative test (unlikely because this is a prerequisite for departure) or a test that is no longer valid because it is "chronologically expired." In this case, airport officials will ensure an on-site antigen test.
It is good to remember, however, how it is not possible to complete a vacation period or business trip without taking a Covid-19 test. This is as long as the stay lasts more than 5 days. In fact, a Control of this kind between the fifth and sixth day, in order to keep the contagious situation as under control as possible.
