Great news for those dreaming of a vacation to the Fiji Islands. It's officially time to get back to planning trips. In fact, news keeps coming in about particularly anticipated reopenings. Just think of the United States. As such, November will be a crucial month for hardened travelers.

Another tropical paradise returns to wink at international tourism. Splendid news after a year and a half of absolute difficulty. The government actually rejoiced with joy, announcing an earlier reopening than the timeframe feared. All thanks to the commitment of the population, which made the vaccination campaign a real success. It was in fact 80% inoculation of citizens completed. Pacific Ocean island state. Which tourists, however, will be able to set foot in this paradise again? Can those leaving from Italy already book tickets? Below are all the relevant answers.
Return to Fiji
The premier Frank Bainimarama posted a very meaningful tweet, "A full three weeks ahead of schedule! I am grateful to everyone who worked to help make Fiji safe." This is the message addressed to citizens and tourists, posted on Oct. 10, National Independence Day. This paradise on earth is safe again and some anti-Covid restrictions have already been relaxed. A detailed plan for reopening will then be announced soon.

An important step for the archipelago's economy, considering how international tourism accounts for as much as 40% of it. When we talk about 80% of the vaccinated population, we are referring to the double dose. It is really safe to opt for Fiji for a vacation away from everything and everyone (96.1 % received the first dose).
Eligible countries
An initial list of countries that are considered non-risk has currently been provided. Anyone from places on that list will be able to enter without being required to undergo a quarantine period. Here are the required prerogatives:
- A full vaccination cycle is required, with second dose administered at least 14 days ago (so as to ensure antibody development)
- A negative Covid-19 swab is required, taken within 72 hours of arrival in Fiji
It should be noted that at the moment Italy is not among the countries considered safe for tourist access. A decision that could be modified in the coming weeks or the first part of November. Suffice it to consider the green light was given to countries whose situation in the fight against Covid is certainly no better than ours.

Further communications regarding travel arrangements to the archipelago are awaited and should be announced soon.
