The event, which will once again feature Sophia Loren in the role of godmother, will also be an opportunity to reopen the doors of Ocean Cay After the long closure due to the pandemic.
But what will it be like to travel aboard the MSC Seashore? Let's find out together.
MSC Seashore, a hi-tech ship
Initially, the MSC Seashore was supposed to be inaugurated before summer 2021. Then the pandemic messed up the plans, and MSC took the opportunity to make further improvements to its flagship. So here it is that her voyage will only now officially begin, from that former industrial sand mining site turned private island cradle of fun.
First among the two Seaside EVO ships, the MSC Seashore has a design designed to bring guests closer to the sea. It is wide, more so than its "sisters," and is the World's first cruise ship with "Safe Air" air sanitization system: viruses and bacteria are removed from the air by the use of UV-C lamps. In addition, it is a green ship. Sulfur emissions are reduced by 98%, nitrogen oxide emissions by 90%, air conditioning is smart, and wastewater is purified to higher standards than many shore-based sanitation plants.
The design of the MSC Seashore is a tribute to New York: at the heart of the casino is a three-meter-high replica of the Statue of Liberty, there is an ultramodern shopping area called Times Square, and there is an 8.5-meter-high LED Wall with a projection of the city skyline. The main pool, the Long Island Pool, is located on Deck 18: it has two different depths, and is connected to the Pirate Cove themed water park. The aft, infinity pool, on the other hand, is one of the largest sea views. The 703-square-meter children's area is the largest in the MSC house (Lego-themed days are periodically organized), the MSC Aurea Spa harks back to Balinese atmospheres, and the MSC Yacht Club is the largest and most luxurious in the entire fleet.
There are eleven restaurants, five of which are thematic; there are twenty bars. And, for entertainment, the choice is endless: hi-tech theater, disco, interactive water park, adventure trail, play areas.
Accommodations and itinerary
On board the MSC Seashore, guests can choose from. eleven different types of booths. The cheapest is the inside cabin, the most luxurious is the MSC Yacht Club Owner's Suite with its 98 square meters and five beds. The aft suites have large balconies and, 32 of them, outdoor massage tubs.
