Here at TFC, we have never hidden our Unconditional love towards the Airbus A380. And we can only be happy to read, week after week, good news about the iconic giant of the skies made in Europe.

This time there are two pieces of news. The first is that Singapore Airlines, in anticipation of its A380 fleet returning to service., decided to implement a strategy similar to that of British Airways, namely to have crews train on short-haul routes.
If BA will fly from London to Frankfurt and Madrid., Singapore Airlines Will connect its Changi Airport hub with the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
The distance between the two cities is only 161 miles, and the flight will enter the Guinness Book of Records as the shortest scheduled flight ever operated with this model of aircraft.
SQ106 (SIN-KUL) and SQ105 (KUL-SIN) will be operated three times a week from November 4 to December 2, 2021. The motivation is to allow crews to reacquaint themselves with the aircraft that has been grounded for nearly 2 years.
Qantas to March flights to Los Angeles.
The announcement of the return to service by the Australian company had come as a surprise in recent weeks. Now there are details of the operation that will bring 5 of the 12 A380s in the fleet back into service.
The first route to see the return of the Airbus A380 will be the route connecting Sydney to Los Angeles starting March 27, 2022.
QF11 Sydney to Los Angeles departing at 10:15 a.m. and arriving at 6:00 a.m.
QF12 Los Angeles to Sydney departing at 9:55 p.m. and arriving at 6:55 a.m. (+2 days)
On this link from over 13 hours one way and 15 hours return 2 A380s will be committed.
To see the silhouette of the kangaroo on an A380 in European skies again, however, will have to wait until November, which is with the summer season in the southern hemisphere. The link will be to London, with a technical stopover in Singapore.
In this case, 3 A380s will be required to run a daily service between the UK and Australian capitals.
It is also planned that another 5 A380s will resume flying by 2024, but in this case everything will depend on the recovery of air traffic to Australia.
