Starting Monday, it will no longer be possible to take a plane in Italy, or land in our country, if you do not hold a super green pass. This means it will be impossible to board if you have not been vaccinated or recovered from covid for less than 120 days. For those who will have to take an international flight, however, the rules of the destination country apply and therefore, in principle, the basic green pass will suffice. Italy, in fact, is the only state in the EU to have introduced the enhanced green certificate on means of transportation.
In this article:
So it will be possible, for example, Taking a plane to vacation in New York City. without having the super green pass. But you will not be able to return without completing the vaccination cycle.
What changes from Monday
Those who are not vaccinated or cured of Covid not only will he no longer be able to take a plane, but any other means of public transportation such as a train or ship, will not even be able to board a bus or subway. All of which are currently, and until Sunday, Jan. 9, allowed to be accessed with the basic green pass, the one you get with a quick pad.
The change desired by the Italian government applies to all citizens over the age of 12 who Will also have to wear an Ffp2 mask.
If Italy is the first country to impose this kind of restriction. for travel aboard public transportation, there are other nations that have begun requiring travelers to provide documentation that they have received the third dose of vaccine, the so-called booster.
The first destination to apply for the certificate was the island of Maui in Hawaii. The local government requires that in order to eat out, go to the gym, and do other public contact activities, one must be fully vaccinated and, if past the required time, have also received the third dose of vaccine.
As of Jan. 15, even to enter France, it will be necessary to prove that you have received the third dose. The argument is the same as in Italy: if more than 150 days have passed since the second dose, then you will need to have the booster in order to travel to Paris and other parts of France.
Other nations such as the Netherlands and Israel are also moving in this direction, and it is likely that within a few weeks all other countries that require proof of vaccination in order to travel will include the booster as a requirement.
