Finally. Australia will reopen before Easter, after 2 years

L'Australia has been one of those nations that have never divested, As soon as the pandemic situation became problematic they have closed its doors and have not reopened the boundaries.
In this article:
Not even the residents were free to move except for a limited period and only to a few selected places, for example, New Zealand. A large number of people remained locked in other countries and it was very difficult re-enter at home. Only since this fall for Australians has there been a loosening: they could leave and re-enter the nation, but only with the booster dose of the vaccine.
Now, almost 2 years later, something seems to be moving.
Given the massive vaccination campaign, the Delta variant being kept in check, and the Omicron variant being less scary, the government seems to be planning to reopen its borders.
Giving some hope was actually the premier Australian Scott Morrison who in an interview with Radio 4CA stated:
"I can't give a specific date yet, and that's because we are just observing how the omicron is invading the eastern states right now.
The reopening date I don't think is too far away. We have challenges with omicron right now. But ... it will peak shortly.
We just need to get some medical advice on this situation. And then I would like to reopen soon, certainly before Easter, long before Easter."
Australia reopens its borders before Easter: when to leave?
More the officialdom is not there, but even if it is delayed by a few weeks, most likely already this summer one will be able to visit the land of kangaroos without too much trouble.
Basically, Minister Morrison identifies. two MAIN ISSUES:
"May the country's hospitals not be overwhelmed. Experience with Omicron suggests that they will not be and the country is well past the peak of its Omicron surge (with cases falling about 50% from their peak).
Work to be done with other states, Australia only allows residents to return (and family members) with booster booster doses, testing and quarantine upon arrival--on approved re-entry request."
Therefore, if hospitals will not be Overloaded, If Omicron continues to be stable And if the Australian government will find agreements with other states (e.g., green corridors), there is a very good chance that the hope of seeing Australia reopened before Easter will actually come true.
