When you board an Uber, you have the opportunity to review the driver, often determining his or her job success in the short term (or long term, in case of serious facts reported in one's review).
In this article:
Did you know, however, that even drivers have been posting comments for years about their passengers? A decidedly rich database, which the company has finally made available to users. Everyone will thus be able to realize what attitude drivers prefer and, at the same time, how their own over the years has been evaluated. A clever way to try to push many users to do their best to make the travel experience positive for those behind the wheel and working as well.
Uber, how to find out driver reviews
At last, passengers who take advantage of the Uber service will be able to find out their overall score. These are ratings posted anonymously by drivers who have transported them from place to place over the years. In the past, all they were allowed to do was check an average overall score. This time things get more interesting. It goes into as much detail as possible for privacy reasons (Ratings are not in real time, so it will not be possible to find out what the last driver who accompanied us thought of us. It is also necessary to calculate how not all drivers are willing to post a rating). Users can find out how many drivers have given them 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 stars. If you are among the compulsive users of Uber, however, it is good to know how this feature only affects the last 500 moves made.
Uber app update
The first thing to do is to make sure that you have updated the app to its latest version. Once you have completed this step, you will be able to click on your profile picture, go to Settings and reach the Privacy section. From here you will be able to reach the section on Uber data and privacy. Here an option will appear suggesting that you check a summary of how you are using the app. From here locating "View my score" is super easy and that's it.
You can now access a breakdown of your average rider rating in our new Privacy Center.

Best passengers
There are two ways to cope with this new opportunity. Some people are well aware that they are bad passengers. For this reason the accumulation of 1 star will not be a big surprise. Different is the case for those with a decent, good, or excellent average. It is easy to think of how Uber caters to them so as to push them to do better. Those who try to behave well aboard these private cabs can only wonder about the average they received. What really happened on those trips where very few stars were given? A ripple effect that may increasingly push users to consider drivers as human beings and not silent machines ready to follow orders.
Uber's directions
The company has had to deal with a variety of situations over the years. There has been a great deal of controversy, and in many cases law enforcement intervention has been necessary. Of related videos on the net there are plenty. Therefore, the company wanted to add to that update a set of "tips" for winning a five-star rating:
- Drivers should not clean up what passengers leave on the seats. Be sure to take away any sort of trash, as well as personal items
- Buckle up. Studies report how passengers who fail to observe this safety line put the driver at risk in a crash, in addition to putting themselves in danger
- Time is money, which is why drivers should not wait for their passengers
- Treat the driver and his or her vehicle respectfully, just as you would like to be treated
- Do not close the door forcefully. This is a problem cited repeatedly by drivers, which is why they lowered the average star rating in their reviews
