As part of its efforts to create a more premium experience for its customers, British Airways has decided to change some of the services offered to passengers, both on the ground and on board its aircraft.

The airline has partnered with its experienced caterers to introduce new plant-based menus, including a hamburger.
The new menus will initially be distributed in Heathrow lounges of the airline and subsequently in all others. As part of its commitment to sustainability, customers in Heathrow lounges will notice new water fountains eliminating the use of plastic, which will also be replaced with the use of glass bottles.
Customers in lounges can also continue to order food using their mobile device directly to the table, an initiative introduced during the Covid pandemic that British Airways has decided to maintain.
Starting next month, the airline will move to the next phase of its culinary experience:Â service more like what customers would have experienced before the pandemic. Customers traveling in the cabin Airline's Club Europe can expect more premium service with delicious new menus with more options. BA is also working on the next phase of its long-haul catering proposal, with exciting changes on the way.
The airline will introduce a new baggage tracking system, which will allow customers to track their baggage via phone during the journey. From automated lounge entry to new digital signage throughout the airport, British Airways is focused on making the customer's journey even smoother and more stress-free.
Among the announcements made official today was the relaunch of the Skyflyers program, or the frequent flyer program dedicated to children traveling with the British carrier.
Tom Stevens, Director of Brand and Customer Experience at British Airways, said, "We are committed to ensuring a premium proposition for our customers as they travel with us, and when we do that, we need to ensure that sustainability is at the core. We want to create an even better British Airways and we know we need to continue to make changes to the customer experience with things like alternative menus, reducing plastic, and introducing new technologies to get us where we want to be. In addition to these improvements, we are also moving quickly with some of the bigger initiatives we have promised our customers, such as the launch of the our award-winning business class seat, Club Suite".
