The French Riviera Airport, the second busiest in France, has always been a super popular destination in the summertime, thanks to its proximity to Monte Carlo, Cannes and Saint Tropez.
In this article:
Before the pandemic, Emirates flew every day on one of the most scenic slopes in the world with its signature aircraft, the A380. From July 1, however, flying will resume regularly using the smaller 777.
Other destinations around the world will also lose the world's largest plane from its runway, among them: Copenhagen, Prague, and Birmingham in Europe. While, due to travel restrictions, capacity to Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai has been reduced.
For an A380 that will not land, there is instead a Dreamliner that will arrive. For the first time, Nice and Abu Dhabi will be connected by a direct, nonstop flight operated by Etihad.
The French Riviera will thus be connected with the UAE capital from the next June 15 with two frequencies per week.
