It was officially completed and presented to the public the world's largest cruise ship, it is called Wonder of the Seas and is chartered by Royal Caribbean. A real floating city, equipped with every possible and imaginable comfort. It is the latest in its class and outweighs its younger sisters by a few tons.

The maiden voyage was March 4 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with destination Caribbean. In May, however, the Wonder of the Seas will ply the Mediterranean, with itineraries that will start from Rome e Barcelona. Construction began in 2020, but due to the pandemic, delivery has slipped quite a bit.

The world's largest ship in numbers
Built in France, at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyards near Saint-Nazaire, the Wonder of the Seas surpasses even its "twin" Symphony of the Seas, with a net tonnage of an impressive 273,431 tons. The ship measures 362 meters length, has a capacity of 6,988 passengers and a crew of 2,300.
The bridges are 18, including 16 for guest use, 20 the restaurants, 4 swimming pools and 2,867 cabins. The Wonder of the Seas has 8 different "quarters," including an exclusive one for high-end passengers who are guests of the suites.
Attention also for children, there are: a water park dedicated, a playground, a regulation basketball court, an ice-skating rink, a surf simulator, a 10-story high zip-line, a 1,400-seat theater, another outdoor aquatic theater, and two climbing walls. Characteristic is the ship's central park where there are as many as 10,000 real plants.
There are two engines and they generate a whopping 7,380 horsepower each.
What to do aboard the Wonder of the Seas?
In Royal Caribbean's floating city theentertainment certainly not lacking. Starting from the AquaTheater to the Wonder Playscape, a playground with slides, walls of climbing e games of various kinds. Also present will be the famous FlowRider, or wave simulator from surf and Ultimate Abyss, which is a 45-meter-plus slide full of twists and turns.
Entertainment for older children as well, with the theater normal and aquatic, as well as the lively nightlife with the Vue Bar, where you can watch the sunset from every angle thanks to the panoramic view, and the music hall where cover bands play.
