Air Transat launches summer sales to fly to Canada from Italy

Air Transat, a Canadian airline voted World's Best Airline for Holiday Travel for the fourth time in 2021 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards event, launches the Summer Vibes Seat Sale.

The promotion is valid until next May 23, 2022, to fly from May 1 to October 31, 2022, on all direct flights from Rome, Venice and Lamezia to Toronto and Montréal, in Budget fare (the cheapest) with carry-on baggage only.

Traveling to Canada gets easier: removed (almost) all restrictions

• Rome - Montréal from €399 A/R, taxes included to fly in May 2022
• Venice-Montréal from €409 round trip, including taxes to fly in September 2022
• Rome-Toronto from €399 A/R, taxes included to fly in May and June 2022
• Venice-Toronto from €399 A/R, taxes included to fly in September 2022
• Lamezia-Toronto from €549 A/R, taxes included to fly in June 2022

Direct flights are operated with Airbus A330s configured in 2 classes of service: Economy Class and Club Class. Each seat on board is equipped with its own video entertainment.

There are 3 types of fares in Economy class:

• Eco Budget Fare. Provides: carry-on baggage only, no checked baggage or assigned seat; possibility of change without penalty, refundable with € 150 penalty fee
• Eco Standard. The most advantageous and with more services included: a 23 kg checked baggage and pre-selection of the standard seat; possibility of change without penalty, refundable with € 150 penalty
• Eco Flex Fare. Maximum flexibility, includes free cancellation and change, plus a range of additional services, such as 2 checked bags of 23 kg each, seat selection of any type based on availability.

Club class fares include 2 checked bags of 32 kg each, exclusive cabin with wide and reclining seats, dedicated service, touch screen with Usb port. Passengers who choose this class also have the following benefits: dedicated check-in counters, priority boarding, priority baggage delivery.

Regulations for travel to Canada

Air Canada Lounge Toronto Pearson review: nothing special

Fully vaccinated travelers will no longer need to provide a Covid-19 pre-test to enter Canada (but may be randomly selected to take a molecular test) and are not required to be quarantined while waiting for the test result.

The requirements to enter Canada to date are: valid passport, double vaccination, ETA and having downloaded the ArriveCAN App 72 hours before departure.
