A pelican was in fact quietly perched in front of a plane from theAlaska Airlines ready to go, the video immediately went viral:
Pilot to San Diego Airport Traffic Control: "Sir, you're not going to believe this, but we're unable [to cab] because of a pelican sitting here on the taxiway." The pilot turns to airport traffic officials and says:
"You're not going to believe this, but we're unable to head to the runway because there's a pelican sitting on the taxiway-it's not moving!"
Subsequently, a car from the airport control service was due intervene to try to get the bird to move, which then took flight by moving out of the way.
Sympathetic news, however, that delayed by 10 minutes the flight!
Not only pelicans, but also turtles
This is not the first time an animal has done delay a commercial flight. It also happened in Japan, home of punctuality, where a turtle managed to shut down the runway for 10 minutes, causing a 15-minute delay to the flight and a queue of 4 planes departing.
This is the turtle that wandered onto the runway at Narita airport yeah, halting the flight of a turtle painted aircraft

The funniest thing is that one of the planes in the queue was from the All Nippon Airways and had the decorated livery With a Hawaiian-style sea turtle:
The design of this A380 was dedicated to the remote islands in the Pacific, where sea turtles are a species protected. Three liveries were decorated, one blue, one green and one orange.
The turtle was picked up and delivered to the animal protection That released it into its natural habitat.
