A dream trip: round-the-world business class travel at a never-before-seen rate

Here at TFC we have spoken several times about the world tour, that is, of an airline ticket that includes a series of flights departing from an airport and arriving, stage by stage, at the point of departure After making a complete tour of the Earth.
The real RTW
In this article:
The real ticket to making the Round The World is a single ticket which includes so many flights, of course you can also do it in other ways, such as buying one-way tickets or classic round-trip tickets, where, however, you don't use part of the ticket, maybe also doing some Skiplagging.
Today I want to talk about a fare that is sending the world of serial travelers, those who want to achieve Jules Verne's dream in 80 days, o even less, like my 5-day round-the-world trip.
This card could be the perfect honeymoon or gift to give yourself when you retire or simply to celebrate your return to an unrestricted post-pandemic world.
The only RTW ticket rule.
It obviously changes from case to case, especially if you aim to book an award ticket, but the only real rule of a round-the-world ticket is. "you never go back." you have to choose whether you will travel from east to west, or in the opposite direction, and you can never reverse course.
The Star Alliance fare
In recent weeks, fans of special routes and the hunters of special rates and error fares do are talking about a particular combination of flights that allow you to book a unique itinerary departing from Paris Charles De Gaulle and going around the world in 4/5 stages at a really crazy cost: less than 3000€.
Of course ,3000 euros may seem like a large amount of money, and it certainly is, but such a ticket is not the classic round trip. We're talking about a trip that will include a minimum of three to four different airlines, twice as many layovers, and most importantly so many hours in the air. And between doing it in economy or doing it in business, there is a huge difference. Usually these tickets cost as much as 10 thousand euros, that's why less than 3,000 euros is a very attractive figure.
What makes this tariff even more interesting is that. it is not a "take it or leave it" itinerary, but of the possibility, with patience and dedication, to build your own journey at will with a few simple rules:
- It is necessary to start from Paris CDG
- You have to use Star Alliance carriers only
- You have to make a stop in New Zealand or Australia and stay there at least 10 days
- It is not possible to include stops in South America or the Middle East
For example, I have constructed this itinerary with departure next January 2 from Paris. with a direct flight to Austin, Texas, from there I will move on to New Zealand. If I wanted, I could also take detached tickets and fly for a few days to Australia, then returning to Auckland leave for Japan and, after a good month, return to Paris just in time for Valentine's Day.
Final expense of this ticket, which will allow me to fly with Lufthansa, Eurowings, Air New Zeland and Ana? Poco less than 2,900€, all included: two bags, lounge access, fast track, priority boarding, etc. Itinerary built on Google Flights
A second example passing this time from Los Angeles, departing from San Francisco back to New Zealand. Then jumping onto a Singapore Airlines A380 and from there departing back home.
It is important to reason that this ticket can be "supplemented" with intermediate tickets, even with low-cost tickets to travel to other places. For example, by departing from Australia to Singapore we can roam freely around Southeast Asia taking advantage of one of the many low-cost companies cost to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and all the nations in the area, perhaps even popping over to Bali. And then leave again towards Paris.
In conclusion
The possibilities are "endless" or nearly so, of course the tariff could disappear tomorrow morning or last a few more weeks, no one knows that. I will certainly try to build some more routes.
