Hosting the rock brand's latest hotel creation is "the city that never sleeps." Opened on May 12, the Hard Rock Hotel New York stands on 48th street, near music icons such as Brodway and the legendary Radio City Music Hall. Not only that, it appears that the new hotel has laid its foundations in a land with a rock soul. In fact, the street where the building stands was once known as Music Row, home to recording studios as well as record and instrument stores frequented by top rock stars.
Like every Hard Rock brand property, the New York hotel puts the focus on the music, a passion shared by all guests of the now historic brand.
It is Hard Rock CEO Jim Allen himself who tells the story, noting how he and his staff have focused on artists from today as well as previous decades, all with roots or ties to the Big Apple. Here you can see the leather jacket worn by Joey Ramone, the Lady Gaga's silver boots, custom suits that belonged to Jay-Z and Beyoncé, up to some handwritten lyrics by John Lennon for New York City.
With well 446 rooms and suites - all with a giant picture of a rock artist - and the 36 floors of height, the Hard Rock Hotel New York offers its guests various music-style services. There are lo Yoga Rock and Body Rock gym, there is the option of having a Crosley record player in your room with which to listen to your favorite music, or a Fender guitar complete with amplifiers.
