As anticipated by TFC in the past few days, ITA Airways announced that tomorrow, June 30, it will open a lounge in the new Rome Fiumicino Terminal 1, or rather the lounge will be in the old part of the terminal, the part of gates 1/10.

In a message sent to all members Volare, the frequent flyer program of ITA Airways, announced that while waiting for the brand new lounge under construction in the new part of the terminal, the old Alitalia House "Piazza Venezia" will be operational.
We are pleased to inform you that, as of June 30, it will be available to you for your domestic and European flights, the Temporary Lounge "Piazza Venezia" located at Pier "A" of Rome Fiumicino Airport.
The lounge is located in the A1-A10 boarding area and will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with many services to make waiting for your flight even more enjoyable: you can sit in therelaxation area immersing yourself in reading one of the 7,000 newspaper and magazine titles made available to you by theDigital Newsstand or work on your latest presentation, thanks to a convenient Wi-Fi connection. Or simply enjoying a power breakfast or a classic aperitif.
The "Piazza Venezia" lounge will be active until early next year, when it will be available A new ITA Airways lounge located at the new Pier A Rome Fiumicino airport.
The hall is located on the second floor of the departure area where there are also the Star Alliance lounge and the Prima Vista Lounge. The former is accessible to travelers from the airlines participating in the alliance along with Lufthansa, Aegean, Singapore Airlines and many others. The second, on the other hand, is independent and accessible, to Priority pass holders and a number of carriers.

With this reopening, or rather opening, ITA heals a wound that had been affecting the many travelers on the domestic/international network who had been left without lounges since controls to access T3 were restored with the opening of the new T1.
