EVA Air will launch direct flights between Taipei and two European destinations, in what is for all intents and purposes the largest European network expansion in 25 years. Milan will debut on October 25, followed a week later by the flight to Munich.
In this article:
The company, which participates in the Star Alliance, will begin with two flights a week to Milan and four to Munich. The two destinations are added to the existing London, Amsterdam, Paris and Vienna connections.
EVA had planned to launch the Milan service in February 2020, but the pandemic and related blockades have made this impossible. Direct flights to Taipei currently depart from Paris and Vienna, while London and Amsterdam are connected to Taipei via Bangkok.
Passengers from Milan and Munich will be able to arrive at Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) early in the morning and easily continue on board one of EVA's frequent flights to the rest of the Asian network.
The route will be operated with the 777/300, which is the largest aircraft in the fleet configured with three cabins: Royal Laurel Class, Premium Economy and Economy. The company is very popular in the aviation world for its special liveries, especially Those dedicated to Hello Kitty.
