Designed by Roman architect Giulio Podesti and richly decorated with frescoes by Mario Spinetti, the hall underwent a meticulous six-month restoration conducted by a team of skilled craftsmen and restorers. The frescoes are a brilliant example of the Roman Pre-Raphaelite heritage, and are therefore protected by the Superintendence of Fine Arts. Thanks to this careful restoration, guests can now admire Spinetti's frescoes depicting eight scenes depicting different moments of peasant life with hints of the mythological theme connected to them. In the center of the frescoed ceiling, gilded vaults form a diamond lattice, with garlands and floral motifs framing the tromp l'oeil with glimpses of the sky, giving the illusion of an opening to the outside world.
