As of December 7, 2022 the new AirArabia flight will connect Milan Bergamo Airport with Sharjah International Airport, located a few kilometers from the city center and only twenty minutes from Dubai, with four weekly frequencies.
AirArabia operates a fleet consisting of Airbus A320s and A321 neo-LRs latest generation, the most modern and best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world. The cabin configuration offers increased passenger comfort, with a pitch that is among the most generous in its class. The new AirArabia aircraft are also equipped with the in-flight entertainment system "SkyTime, a free in-flight streaming service that will allow passengers to stream a wide selection of content directly to their devices. Before flights, eligible travelers can also take advantage of the City Check-in service, where they can drop off luggage and pick up boarding passes at AirArabia outlets scattered across the UAE.
Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of AirArabia Group, said, "Milan is the latest addition to our extensive network of connections from Sharjah, thus offering our customers in the UAE the opportunity to travel to Italy with our renowned service. The launch of AirArabia's direct flights to Milan reaffirms our commitment to continually offer our customers new destinations, enabling them to travel at affordable fares and with a high standard of service. We look forward to the start of flights to Milan so that we can welcome our customers and take them on a discovery of this wonderful city."
Giacomo Cattaneo, SACBO's Aviation Sales Director, confirms that "the opening of the first direct link to the United Arab Emirates is cause for legitimate satisfaction, all the more so because the new destination will be operated by a long-standing, trusted and reliable partner such as AirArabia, an airline that has made Milan Bergamo airport one of the main European airports in their network. The connection to Sharjah, in addition to creating a convenient travel opportunity for those heading to the city and region, is a gateway to Dubai, less than half an hour away from Sharjah airport. The new flight will also provide continuation from Sharjah to the more than 60 destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East served by Air Arabia."
