We have written this many times, the MilleMiglia program is still alive and not only allows you to accumulate points and bonuses, but finally restored the ability to book award tickets.

In this article:

Almost a year after Alitalia ceased to exist., and since ITA Airways launched its new Volare program, Older users enrolled in the loyalty program again have the opportunity to reserve award tickets using, if they still have them, MilleMiglia points. Of course there is no longer the fixed table that allowed them to detach a Round-trip ticket to the U.S. in business class with only 80 thousand points And you will not be able to use the old companion vouchers either, let alone get the milesback for those who still have the old American Express Alitalia Green, but it is already better than nothing.

    Award tickets with Air France

The new MM REWARD Air France award ticket is available, you can apply for it with miles to fly with the French airline to destinations around the world, except Australia.

To claim your award ticket, simply call the relevant Exclusive Club, tell the operator your first name, last name and MilleMiglia code, and ask for Economy or Business Class ticket availability by preferred date and destination.

Of course it is not the same as before, but it is still better than the alternative, or the conversion of points into Lastminute vouchers or in vouchers to rent cars with Avis. The positive side is definitely that Air France has a large number of award seats available and, having a variable table, using MM points might be more convenient than using Flying Blue points. In any case, it is better than losing them altogether by letting them "rot" inside the MyMiles account.
