Skytrax's annual World Airline Awards not only elect the world's best airline, they also release many other intermediate awards. Four of these went to Ethiopian Airlines, the largest aviation group in Africa that was elected:
- Best Airline in Africa 2022 For the fifth consecutive year,
- Best Business Class in Africa 2022 For the fourth consecutive year,
- Best Economy Class in Africa 2022 for the fourth consecutive year and
- Best Catering on Board Business Class in Africa 2022

With an incredible climb of 11 positions, Ethiopian also ranked 26th among the world's top 100 airlines for 2022, voted on by customers of carriers around the world.
