Of airplanes "chopped up" and auctioned off there have been truly many and We've talked about this in several posts.
In this article:
This time, too, an airplane is dismembered and put auction, but unlike other times it will be a beautiful and very young Emirates A380, the first to enter service. Some of the pieces are really interesting; the auction will be held Oct. 13-15 in Toulouse, France, but you can also attend online, we're going to see some good things.
The A380 is an airplane iconic, Unfortunately, however, the latest market requirements have marked the end of the JumboJet and shortened the life of what was to be the iconic aircraft of the new millennium.
Airbus lets it be known that proceeds from the sale will go into charity. A little bit of everything will go up for auction, the items will be almost 500: from engine parts to bright "exit" exits, bathroom equipment or directly the whole bar in the business class cabin.
Let's see what are the most interesting items in the collection that will be auctioned off:
The light panels of the outputs of security would surely impress over the front door. It is estimated that they will leave between the 80 and the 120€, an affordable price.
Even the lamps of the first class in salt pans would look great; they are also design objects not to be underestimated. Estimated at around 800/1330€.
For those who have plenty of space, why not directly win a fuselage panel complete with windows! They will leave for 400/800€.
Then we have a piece of the hatbox, maybe you'd like to tessellate it in the bedroom for storing pajamas; an oven to microwave built-in, perfect for those who are redoing their kitchens; and also the cart Of the meals that flight attendants carry around the plane.
Estimated prices for these pieces are:
- Hatbox segment: 1200/2000€
- Microwave oven 500/800€
- Roof rack trolley 400/600€
Clearly, the seats of the various classes, different depending on whether we want them with the screen rear or not. For those with the monitor, the estimate is around the 1000/2000€, while if we are not interested in the devices then the normal files will go on the 800/1200€.
For aircraft enthusiasts, also for sale are parts of fuselage, bits of motor, windows, etc. One can find one of the most interesting parts of the A380s, namely the playlist leading to the mezzanine cockpit, slightly above the second floor and lower than the upper deck. The idea is to have a cabin of piloting at a convenient height for pilots' vision (about 7 m), other companies' aircraft are often a problem for crews during the taxiing on the ground. Four steps are then required to access the A380 cockpit.
This iconic lineup will go away for about 2/3000€.
But the Re undisputed of this particular auction is only one:
That's right, the full cabin bar business, a unique piece. Those who have gone up there know it well, the most important piece in the auction is estimated to go between the 20.000 and the 30.000€, but for a wealthy person to have this iconic bar is priceless.
There will be 3 different lots that will be auctioned on October 13, 14 and 15, respectively. To participate, simply go to the Airbus official website and register to win one of these beautiful pieces!
