6It is well known that at Dubai, with the right amount of money, you can accomplish what you want. This time, however, the project has the unimaginable. Suffice it to say that it will be possible book a luxury room on the moon. No Nasa or spacecraft, however: the Moon will "descend" to Earth.
In this article:
The project, called Moon World Resort, in fact plans to build a resort that will resemble in every way a full moon.
The project will aim to help all those who have a desire for a close encounter with the moon but, for obvious reasons, cannot realize their dream.
A moon in the Dubai skyline
Called the "lunar colony," the circular area that will rise under the moon is designed to give guests the feeling of being very close to Earth's satellite.
Here you can stay overnight as a guest, or you can Purchase one of 300 private residences called sky villas, made in the disc-shaped superstructure of the main building. Those who purchase a villa will thus enter the private club of property members.
Moon World Resort co-founders Sandra G. Matthews and Michael R. Henderson assured that architecturally and engineering-wise, the project can be built. And they added that the facility will be built to the five-star LEED Gold standard. It will thus have a significant impact on every aspect of the UAE economy: transportation, tourism, commercial and residential real estate, infrastructure, financial services, aviation and space, energy, agriculture and education.
Not only will it change Dubai's skyline, then, but it will have a positive impact on its economy.
Guests at Moon World Resort will be able to take advantage of a on-site disco, an event center, a public hall, the spa and even a "lunar shuttle" interior that will take them around the structure. The latter will consist of two sections: a circular base and the lunar globe. All the suite, about 4000, will be inside the globe: from here you will be able to watch what you want thanks to special electronic windows.
The real attraction, however, will be the lunar surface simulation, which will allow guests to experience firsthand the feeling of exploring space. What Moon offers will thus be the "accessible and authentic" space tourism experience that millions of enthusiasts around the world have been waiting for.
Among the ideas in the field is a desire to make the resort a hub for space agencies and their astronauts.
Work to complete the facility is estimated to take about two years, It will eventually be about 230 meters high.
The "new" Burj Khalifa
It is not only Dubai's skyline that will change its face: the Burj Khalifa may soon not be the same. The "credit" goes to the Downtown Circle, a giant ring with a perimeter of 3000 thousand meters: five pillars that will support it, forming a circle above the city streets (and with the Burj Khalifa in the middle).
Inside, the ring designed by Znera Space will house cultural and commercial spaces as well as private residences.
Why the idea of a horizontal skyscraper? Because cities are saturated, and they need new solutions. Like the idea of exploiting the sky instead of the earth.
At 550 meters tall, the Downtown Circle will be super sustainable: the facade will feature a slat system, capable of varying their density depending on solar orientation and shadow/sun. To move from one side to the other there will be special peripheral capsules, which will travel on tracks located on the lower level.
