Ryanair has launched its record winter operations to/from the 2 bases it operates out of in Rome (Ciampino and Fiumicino) with 18 new winter routes, destinations such as Agadir, Asturias, Liverpool and Dublin.

With 13 aircraft, including 2 new Boeing "Gamechanger" at Ciampino, which carry 4% more passengers but consume 16% less fuel and emit 40% less noise, Ryanair will offer more than 10% more seats than the winter 2019 operation, therefore will exceed pre-pandemic levels and, the company estimates, will help generate more than 7,000 jobs locally and in tourism in Rome.

In Rome, Ryanair's Michael O'Leary stated:
"As the number one airline in Italy, Ryanair is pleased to announce its record winter 2022 operating from Rome to 70 routes, including 18 new winter routes to exciting destinations such as Agadir, Amman, Asturias and Rabat, offering citizens/visitors in Rome even more choices for fantastic winter vacations at Europe's lowest airfares."
"With 13 based aircraft (including 2 more environmentally friendly Boeing 737 "Gamechangers"), a $1.3 billion investment supporting more than 400 highly paid pilot and cabin crew jobs, Ryanair continues to offer more traffic, more growth and lower fares than any other airline in Italy. Rome citizens/visitors can now book their well-deserved winter vacation at the lowest price on Ryanair.com starting at just €24.99 one-way for travel from October 2022 to March 2023.
As Italy's No. 1 airline, we extend our sincere congratulations to Giorgia Meloni and look forward to working together with the new Executive to further transform and grow Italian tourism, traffic and jobs together."
