On September 30, the promotion that gave the 30% of Hilton Honors Points, if transferred from Membership Rewards. A few days later, a new offer is already popping up, this time targeted towards the loyalty program Marriott Bonvoy.
In this article:
Hopefully, these bonuses will continue to arrive in Italy with a fair frequency, so that theuse of MR points becomes even more interesting. And why not, the hope is that soon these promos, after affecting the programs of hotel chains, touch those of the airlines as well.

The best way to use Bonvoy points.
Points from hotel chains can be used to book stays around the world. Bonvoys are the currency that can be used to sleep in so many hotels, more than 8,000, in Italy and around the world.
To maximize utilization, I personally always try to use points to book a 5-night stay and Thus having the opportunity to sleep one night for free.
How to accumulate Bonvoy points in Italy
The best, and most convenient, way is to stay in the hotels of the Marriott group also taking advantage of the (few) promotions that allow you to collect rich bonuses in addition to basic points. An example of this is the current Fall promo providing 2000 bonus points per stay.
Points can also be accumulated thanks to the partnership with Emirates which allows you to get points Bonvoy every time you fly with the Dubai-based company.
Is it worthwhile to transfer the points?
It all depends on how they will be used, certain is that right now being able to take advantage of this 30% bonus definitely makes it more advantageous to transfer points: you can in fact achieve a conversion rate even higher than parity, which is uncommon for the Italian market. I took the opportunity to transfer 101k MR points.
How to transfer points
We explained this practice step by step. The time required for the transfer to be successful is generally less than 24 hours, in some cases it may take longer.
Once the two accounts are linked is a breeze, just put in the number of points you want to transfer and confirm the transfer. You will also receive two emails confirming the transaction, and a few hours later, you will see the points accumulated on the other profile.
PS The bonus will be visible in the Marriott Bonvoy account within eight weeks after the initiative closes. So don't panic if it doesn't pop up right away.
Here are points and bonuses
I transferred points on October 4, and on the morning of October 6, I had double-credit in my account. Having transferred 101k MR points, I got the classic 80,800 Bonvoy points. The second credit is the 30% bonus of points: 24,240 Bonvoy points. So in total 101k MR points became 105,040 Bonvoy points, all in less than 48h from the time of transfer.
