How to renew status until 2024

By December 31, it will still be possible to take advantage of "facilitated" requirements in the Hilton Honors program, to maintain the level until March 2024.
Specifically, to get the highest card you need to sleep 42 nights, or stay 21 times in Hilton hotels. There is also the possibility of obtaining status through basic points, in which case 84 thousand are needed.
Starting Jan. 1, we will return to pre-pandemic requirements: 60 nights, 30 stays or 100 thousand basis points.

If you are a Diamond and for different reasons at the end of a year you are unable to renew your level, Hilton has restored the possibility of applying for an ex officio extension. However, this possibility is not for all Diamonds, but for those who meet the following requirements:
- You must have expiring status, for 2023, all HHonors cards expire on March 31, and renewal must take place by December 31
- You must have had the Diamond level for at least 3 years, important to know that they do not have to be consecutive, but that if you have earned the Diamond level for one year (or more) through Status Match campaigns or facilitated paths these years do not count. Simply put, one must have earned in the field for at least 3 years the level
- You must have stayed at least 250 nights in Hilton hotels since joining the Honors program. All nights count, including award nights. Or accumulated a minimum of 500 thousand base points (points bought, bonuses, transfers from credit card or other partners do not count)
If you meet these 3 requirements, then you can apply through the ad hoc page on Hilton's website for extended status.
WARNING This courtesy can only be used once in a lifetime, which means it will never be required again.
When to apply for extension of status
If you fall into this category, my advice is to choose carefully how and when to trigger this parachute.
If we are at a stage in our lives where we travel less than in the past, I do not recommend playing the wild card of the extension. Doing it to make little use of it would be meaningless and could be a regret if and when we return to traveling as before.
This option has always been there, it is not an expiring offer, simply in recent years with all the statuses renewed ex officio it did not make sense. Now that we are back to normal, it is correct for Hilton to restore the feature.
Finally, it is good to remember that you can also apply for status next year or the year to follow; you do not necessarily have to do so when you have the Diamond level in your pocket.

Just go to the dedicated page and apply for the extension, during the first weeks of 2023 you will receive the outcome of the application and, if all requirements are met, you will receive the extension until March 2024
