I delays, When you go on a plane trip, they are always a big nuisance. Especially when you have to wait inside the plane and not at the gate, where at least something to distract yourself with is always there.
In this article:
There are those who read a book, those who watch a movie, those who surf social media, and those who puff impatient to leave. Somewhat like what must have happened in Flight 1208 of American Airlines October when the delay was as much as 6 hours.
The flight was a Durbank - Dallas, the delay was due to the bad weather in Dallas that caused some flights to be canceled and many others to be delayed. The delay was not the fault of the airline but the discontent is inevitable, only one thing cheered up passengers: the pizza.
Best part of today's flight @AmericanAir the captain of the flight is so magnanimous that he ordered us all pizzas as we have been stuck on the flight @fly_BUR for over 6 hours and we never departed because of some complicated routing issues pic.twitter.com/VQY2AW90l6

After hours of waiting, the airline decided to offer pizza to passengers, a gesture greatly appreciated by those present who all received a slice of daisy.
"We are incredibly proud of the American Airlines team that takes care of our customers every day."
American Airlines spokesman
The pizza (unfortunately everyone got one single slice) - I was still happy that the captain went out of his way to provide this for us! pic.twitter.com/7PrNSx6W1p

The idea of ordering pizza came from the captain and the company reimbursed him for the expense considering the benevolent gesture (and the advertisement free of charge that resulted).
This is not the first time this has happened
It also happened other times that pilots ordered pizza board because of delays, a few years ago even Delta Airlines featured the same gesture by the crew.
