From Trieste, Ryanair DAC CEO Eddie Wilson said.: "We are pleased to announce our largest-ever operation to Trieste for Summer '23 together with the Region and our partners at Trieste Airport. Next summer Ryanair will record 180% growth over the pre-Covid period in Trieste, operating approximately 70 weekly flights to 11 destinations, including two exciting new routes to on major European cities such as Dublin and Barcelona."
The president of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, said.: "The increase in the number of flights and connections with new destinations make our regional territory and our airport increasingly barycentric with the rest of Europe. This an operation was strongly desired as a piece of the marketing strategies put in place first of all to increase the incoming of tourists to our territory in the summer period, thus trying to improve even more the already very positive data on arrivals and presences recorded last season in the resorts of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It should not be forgotten, then, that these new routes and the intensification of connections will also benefit the business sector, taking into account the need expressed by the business world of our region, given the presence of numerous companies of international scope operating in our territory."
