The warm season is approaching and carriers, especially low-cost carriers, are adjusting their operations for next summer. New routes are launched every week from different Italian airports.
Where Volotea flies from Bergamo
In this article:
Volotea has announced another new addition at the Milan Bergamo airport: From April 6, in fact, it will be possible to take off to Lyon, connection that will have 2 frequencies per week, every Thursday and Sunday. The new route is in addition to the classic connections operated by Volotea from Caravaggio to Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Olbia, and the 2 recently announced new routes to fly to Oviedo and Nantes, for a total of 6 reachable destinations.
This brings to 6 the number of destinations connected by Volotea to the airport of Milan Bergamo, 3 in Italy (Lampedusa, Olbia and Pantelleria), 1 in Spain (Oviedo - Summer 23 News) and 2 in France (Nantes and Lyon -Â Summer 23 News).
"With three domestic and three international flights, Volotea's offer from Milan Bergamo is perfectly balanced. Thanks to our direct and competitively priced flights, for next summer travelers departing from Caravaggio can choose whether to plan a vacation full of relaxation and beautiful Italian seaside or opt for abroad and visit two lively French locations, such as Lyon and Nantes, or the capital of Asturias in Northern Spain - Valeria Rebasti, Volotea's country manager Italy & Southeastern Europe, said. -. At the same time, it should not be forgotten that the new destinations will increase the flow of incoming travelers, eager to reach Milan Bergamo and visit the beauty of the entire Lombardy region, thus supporting the local economy."
"We are delighted to welcome the announcement of the second route to France that Volotea will operate in spring 2023 and contributes to the enrichment of the offer of connections from Milan Bergamo - points out Giacomo Cattaneo, aviation commercial director of SACBO. - The destination of Lyon proves to be highly strategic, both because of the importance of the city, known as France's gastronomic capital and home of the largest Renaissance district in Europe after Venice, both because it is the crossroads of the southeastern region of the transalpine country. Moreover, it is a source of satisfaction that Volotea has decided to add three new international destinations to its traditional domestic connections, enhancing its presence and operations at Milan Bergamo Airport."

At the same time, we are confident that there will be many French tourists who will take advantage of our convenient connections and affordable fares to reach Florence and visit the sights that have helped make Tuscany such an appealing and internationally renowned destination.
