Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the Airbus A320 "I Am Friuli Venezia Giulia" and the special livery dedicated to the territory, is the first region in Italy to place its image on an ITA Airways aircraft, proud to use its fleet as a vehicle for communication and promotion of Italian territories around the world.
At 10:15 a.m., arriving from Rome Fiumicino, ITA Airways' Airbus A320 "Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia" was officially delivered by Fabio Maria Lazzerini, chief executive officer and general manager of ITA Airways, to Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, and to Marco Consalvo, CEO of Trieste Airport, who explained the project to press and guests attending the event. ITA Airways' livery dedicated to Friuli Venezia Giulia welcomes the logo "Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia," the claim in English ("Everything you wish for is just a flight away") and graphic elements of the region including, on the pattern of the aircraft's tail, icons referring to the main tourism products, in line with the coordinated communication of the promotion of the territory. The idea is to communicate the experience of travel, which begins before landing in Friuli Venezia Giulia, boarding the ITA Airways flight.
The initiative also includes the application of a QR code both on the outside of the aircraft entrance doors and on board, on the back of the seats (from January 2023), echoing the claim related to travel and referring to the website "www.turismofvg.it/it/vola-in-friuli-venezia-giulia," where you can find experience shops, itinerary proposals, culture, outdoor and food and wine, with a section entirely dedicated to planning a tour to discover Friuli Venezia Giulia.
"We are proud to dedicate the livery of one of our aircraft to the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and dress it with the symbols of one of the main excellences that distinguish the territory of our country," said Fabio Maria Lazzerini CEO and General Manager of ITA Airways. - Telling the world about Italy's cultural, natural, manufacturing and enogastronomic heritage and its territories through our liveries and promotional tools, above all True Italian Experience, aims to stimulate international tourism and guarantee a positive image relapse as well as the attraction and development of investments. We start today a new relationship with the territory and its local administrations, with the aim of making System and working together for the promotion of Italy in the World."
"The agreement with ITA goes to integrate, with an additional important tile, a wider mosaic of promotion of Friuli Venezia Giulia: precisely thanks to this partnership," stresses the governor Massimiliano Fedriga - it will in fact be possible to broaden the audience of recipients of a strong identity message, on which the regional administration has invested with conviction in both domestic and foreign markets, with the aim of strengthening the recognition of the territory."
Marco Consalvo, CEO of Trieste Airport: "an aircraft with a special livery generates interest and curiosity. A livery that is also an ambassador of a territory is capable of generating much more. "Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia" will in fact be an extraordinary promotional vehicle for the region: by flying to major Italian and European airports it will arouse the desire to visit our region, thus becoming a real communication tool for the development of incoming tourism to Friuli Venezia Giulia. The initiative is part of a wide-ranging project that will see ITA Airways committed not only to conveying the image of Friuli Venezia Giulia but also to improving its accessibility. From the end of March 2023, in fact, daily connections to Rome Fiumicino will increase to 4, thus guaranteeing the regional territory excellent connectivity on the company's hub and expanding the possibilities of connections to and from all over the world."
ITA Airways permanently operates to and from Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) on the Rome Fiumicino (FCO) - Trieste Ronchi dei Legionari (TRS) route with three daily frequencies, which will increase to four starting in the 2023 summer season.
