I have already written in a way very detailed about Marriott's Choice Benefits.. In a nutshell, they are the Benefits that a user obtains, in addition to status, when reaching Platinum and Titanium levels In the Bonvoy loyalty program.

Having reached the Titanium level in the Marriott loyalty program, I am then entitled to choose a second benefit from those offered. In fact, the Titanium level (the second in value behind only the Ambassador level) allows you to choose from different benefits than the Platinum level.
My choice for Platinum status
In June when I first crossed the finish line of platinum status. with Marriott I opted for 5 suite upgrades, these upgrades can be requested after booking a hotel, each Suite Night Awards (SNA) is valid for one night. The request should be made through the app, and within about 48/72h after arrival at the hotel, you will receive confirmation from the hotel whether the upgrade is confirmed or not.
What are the choice benefits for the Titanium level
Basically, the benefits to choose from are the same as for the platinum level. Plus there is a chance to redeem a prize night worth up to 40 thousand bonvoy points, or alternatively discount 40k points from a more expensive reservation. There is also the addition of the possibility of gifting a friend/relative Gold status in the Bonvoy program for one year , in the previous level you could give away silver status.
Other benefits remain the same. The discount for the purchase of a mattress, topper or other from the Marriott line. Benefit to American volunteer projects and the usual 5 qualifying nights. The point is. these nights are not credited on the 2023 program, but on the current program and not being rollover Is an absolutely meaningless benefit.
I must say that I am undecided between the free prize night and 5 more SNAs. To date, I have not used a single one of them so I will have until 12/31/2023 to use them up.
What happens if you forget to choose
You lose nothing, or rather you lose the option and the system will automatically credit 5 SNA to the forgetful user's account.
