Emirates, dreaded devaluation also hit flight from Milan to New York

We had written it in recent days And eventually, as expected, Emirates' Skywards points devaluation has also affected Italy and in particular the fifth freedom flight from Milan to New York. To date this was one of the few routes in the Emirates network that had been saved from the "windfall" and instead overnight the new fares were loaded.
In this article:
How award tickets change from Milan to New York.
I can say that I have been One of the last lucky ones to redeem an Emirates business class award ticket at 45k Skywards points, because as of today this saver rate has been raised to 54k points.
Just in the past few days we have booked a number of tickets for upcoming episodes of our YT channel, and one of them involves flying with Emirates on the Milan/New York route.
This is the cost of the award tickets we booked just last week to fly this weekend, as you can see there was still (and still is) A rich availability of saver tickets, the lowest price at which tickets to/from New York could be found, or 45k points per route plus tax.
Looking for the same dates today, but also for other dates it is evident how the price has gone up from 45k Skywards miles to 54k, the increase as happened on all other routes in the network is also reflected in the other fares. Thus the ticket that used to cost 72,500 points has now gone up to 87k.
Confirmation that the change took place today comes to us from two readers who were in the process of peeling off a prize ticket.
Andrea who sent us this screenshot confirms that the same search yesterday allowed the same ticket to be redeemed at 145k skywards points.
In conclusion
We knew it was coming, but it still hurts. An increased outlay of 20%, although looking at the glass half full the fees continue to be the lowest ever compared to when booking a ticket that transits through Dubai.
Unfortunately, the devaluation of points is one of the rules of this game, like when you end up in jail in Monopoly can always happen suddenly, and the only way to defend yourself is to Don't accumulate a company's points as if they were bitcoins, but to use them as soon as possible or to keep them in a currency transferable as for memebership rewards points to be used from time to time with a different carrier.
