We had talked about this news in recent weeks and now there is the official date of opening to the public: the first "city" centurion lounge will open its doors on March 9, and reservations are available now. This location thus joins the network of Centurion lounges scattered around the world.
Manhattan's new Centurion Lounge
In this article:
Centurion New York will be a luxury space at the 55th floor of One Vanderbilt in midtown Manhattan with fine dining and impeccable dishes by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. In addition to an open room open to all will offer three different spaces:
- The Gallery: fine dining with dishes selected by Daniel Boulud
- The Studio: casual meals, light meals
- The Studio Bar: appetizers and cocktails
Centurion New York will have an on-site concierge and an evolving art collection, a space designed by Yabu Pushelberg with scents by Diptyque. All details will be announced in the coming days to keep the Hype of this new opening high.
A dedicated booking app
At the moment the App is not yet live on all app/play stores, but will be soon. Through this app it will be possible to browse the location's offerings, book a visit, and get information on special events and bookable services available.
Centurion members can use this app to:

Rules of access
American Express has put strict rules regarding attire and failure to show up for reservations. Very interesting that if you make a reservation and don't show up you will be taxed with a penalty of 100$, a great way to avoid having reservations "just in case."
Clothing should be "smart casual" with a ban on sports and offensive clothing. Cell phones, laptops and tablets are "restricted" after 6 p.m. in the dining rooms and photography is "discouraged."
Centurion cardholders may bring up to 5 guests for meal reservations and up to 3 guests for walk-in access. Children under 13 are not allowed and those over 13 are allowed only until 6:00 p.m..
