Marriott Bonvoy, the Riz-Carlton debuts in Melbourne: it is the chain's second hotel in Australia

The Ritz-Carlton, part of the portfolio of 30 outstanding hotel brands of Marriott Bonvoy, announced the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, an oasis of elevated luxury in the heart of the metropolis. The new hotel, which rises 80 stories above the city, brings the brand's legendary service and contemporary aesthetic to Australia's art and food and wine capital.

Located in the western part of Melbourne's central business district, The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne celebrates the country's ancient histories and vibrant cultures, filtered through a distinctive Melbourne lens. Designed by Australian architects Cottee Parker, the hotel's beautiful spaces, from the gallery on the ground floor to the Sky Lobby Reception on level 80, display an acknowledgement of place and indigenous heritage, expressed through the beautifully curated artwork adorning the walls of the arrival lobby. The hotel's interiors, designed by BAR Studio, capture Melbourne's unique identity with influences from its indigenous history, Victorian-era gold rush, European heritage, and fabulous alley life. To bring the destination to life for guests, each evening in the arrival lobby an immersive cultural soundscape traces the city's history and combines the rhythm of Australia's past, present, and future.

Check-in at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne takes place at the spectacular Sky Lobby Reception on level 80. With a double-vaulted ceiling and windows covering the entire level, the Sky Lobby offers guests uninterrupted views of Melbourne, from Port Philip Bay to the Yarra below and the mountains in the distance. The hotel's signature restaurant, Atria, is named after the brightest star in the southern constellation, Triangulum Australe.
