This is the classic lounge Priority pass which is also found in Europe, we could say without infamy or praise. If you do not possess a Amercian Express Platinum and therefore you do not have access to the Centurion Lounge. not far away is the only other option available.
In this article:
Actually. If you fly United and have status with a Star Alliance airline. then you can take advantage of the official lounge of the American carrier.
Location
It is located in the boarding gates D area and can be reached from the main terminal via the people mover. Once you reach the terminal, go up the escalators and turn right.
At the first "intersection" the one that leads toward the doors /43, you have to turn left and the lounge is just on the right, past the TUMI store.
Access Rules
The lounge is affiliated with various networks: in addition to Priority Pass also Dragon Pass, and depending on the subscription level held of Priority Pass it will be possible to bring along up to two guests free of charge.
The lounge
It is not very big, in fact. In fact it is an open space where the spaces are divi from the furniture.... There is an area with restaurant tables near the buffet. Runway side, on the other hand, there are various types of seating. More private stalls or armchairs where you can comfortably wait for your flight.
All along the window facing the runway is a counter perfect for those looking for a work position with power outlets and, if desired, even a printer.
Finally, there is the bar area. The great thing about American lounges is that here you can drink at any time of day, at a pace that we Italians cannot even imagine. Even at 7 a.m. And no: jet lag has nothing to do with it here.
Food & Beverage
The management is the same as the lounge found in so many other U.S. airports. Let's say that The Club is the most popular network in the U.S. of independent lounges.
However, the offerings here seem to me to be more reduced compared to the Silicon Valley airport. The hot breakfast offering here is nonexistent, and the cold one is not the best either.
There is, however, a working hot drink machine with real milk and coffee, not instant. And that is worth an extra half a point.
As mentioned, the bar is full service. Sure, there is no champagne but it offers virtually every type of spirits from whiskey to tequila, from gin to Rum and there is also a list of available cocktails. All free (but remember to leave a tip, we are in the capital of work paid for only by customer tips).
In conclusion
If you can choose I I recommend going to the Centurion, if it is full or you cannot get into it then this-as mentioned-is the only alternative.
