One of the basic rules of reward travel is to accumulate points by spending as little as possible, and if these points can be accumulated for free that is even better.

Bicester Village

This chain has 9 outlets throughout Europe and two other facilities in China. What is special about these centers is that in these centers it is possible to turn every expenditure into loyalty points from a variety of loyalty programs and take advantage of benefits related to individual credit cards such as discounts and pampering depending on the card held.

Stores in Europe are near London, Dublin, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich, Fidenza, Madrid, and Barcelona. In China, however, they are in Shanghai and Suzhou.

Fidenza outlet Village

In Italy there is only one center in Fidenza, right near the highway exit on the Milan/Bologna. Fidenza Village is part of Value Retail's The Bicester Collection of Villages. Established in 1992, Value Retail is the creator and operator of The Bicester Collection, a unique concept of outlet shopping.

There are also benefits and discounts based on the credit card held. Amex customers also had a range of dedicated services, but it seems that this possibility is no longer active.

Often then there are American Express cash back offers that allow you to get big discounts on your spending in downtown stores.

One thing to know is that each center has agreements with different loyalty programs and also point conversion rates that vary from program to program, and for once we can be happy to have the best conversions in Italy compared to the points you get from spending at other centers.

As can be seen, the best conversion rate is the one related to British Airways which allows you to accumulate 5 points for every euro spent, more than double the points you can accumulate on Air France and KLM's card, and 20% more than Lufthansa's Miles&More.

At the moment, there is still no Volare by ITA Airways., but you can still accumulate Millemiglia points.

But also interesting is the possibility of accumulating on much less popular programs in Italy and putting a handful of points in your pocket could allow the program to be activated and open to the possibility of buying points and/or transfer points from other programs.

How to get credit

You do not have to present anything at the individual store checkout, but you do need to keep your receipts and go to The Concierge and The Conciergerie spaces in the Village on the day of your visit along with the loyalty program card where you want to accumulate points.
