Not just Rome Fiumicino or Milan Malpensa. The network of Summer flights from Italy to North America, the U.S. and Canada specifically, returns to growth as it did in the pre-pandemic period and offers travel solutions from other domestic airports as well.

After the first two installments on routes from the two major national hubs, the Leonardo da Vinci and the Milanese stopover, now it is the turn of Venice, Naples and even Lamezia Terme, which are currently the only Italian airports offering direct transatlantic connections.
US routes from Venice airport
The Veneto airport has the most connections on the axis; both to the U.S. with all three U.S. sisters, American, Delta and United; and to Canada.
On March 12, the linkage resumed. Delta Air Lines from Marco Polo airport to New York Jfk; while on May 8, services will be restored to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta.
Both routes are daily and operated with B767-300s in cooperation with Delta's partners in Europe, namely Air France and Klm.
The flight to New York takes off at 1:35 p.m. from Venice and comes to the U.S. 6:10 p.m. Departure is scheduled from the Big Apple at 8:15 p.m. with landing in Laguna at 9:35 a.m. the following day.
The route to Atlanta, however, sees departure at 11:35 a.m. with arrival in Atlanta at 4:15 p.m. In the U.S., takeoff is scheduled at 7:40 p.m. with arrival in Venice at 11:15 a.m. Of the next day.
American Airlines, instead, will return to connect Venice with Philadelphia from May 6: direct flights will be daily and will be operated with B787-8 throughout the summer season until the end of October 2023. American takes off from Philadelphia at 7:20 p.m. with landing in Italy at 9:25 a.m. the next day. The plane departs Venice at 12:15 p.m. and lands in the U.S. at 3:30 p.m.
United, on the other hand, flies from Marco Polo to New York. Newark increasing capacity. Starting this year, in fact, the route will be operated daily with B777s instead of 767s departing from Venice at 11:05 a.m. and arriving in the U.S. at 2:20 p.m. From New York we depart at 18.55 to land in Laguna at 9:05 a.m. the following day.
Flights from Marco Polo to Canada
As for Canada, finally, Air Canada flies to Toronto; while Air Transat provides flights for both Toronto is for Montréal.
Air Transat will fly twice a week to Montréal (from May 22) and once a week to Toronto (from June 10). On these routes lhe airline operates with Airbus A330 configured with 346 seats (12 in Club Class and 334 in Economy Class) or 375 seats (12 in Club Class and 363 in Economy Class).
Also Air Canada uses A330s on connections between Toronto and Marco Polo, offering up to three weekly frequencies (Monday, Thursday and Saturday).
United doubles down on Naples
The airport of Naples Capodichino - which is experiencing a real expolit of connections-has received the increasingly important attentions of United Airlines.
The U.S. giant's daily seasonal connection from Naples to New York Newark-which will run from May 6 to October 28, 2023-has received even A doubling of frequencies from June 23 to Sept. 7. Thus, during this period, there will be as many as two flights a day to and from the Naples airport.
The daily non-stop Naples-New York flight will be operated with B767-300, with a total of 214 seats - including 30 seats in business class (Polaris), 49 seats in Economy Plus and 135 seats in Economy.
The additional flight, on the other hand, still involves B767 but with different configuration: 46 seats in Polaris Business Class, 22 Premium Class, 43 Economy Plus and 56 Economy for a total of 167 seats.
Departures from Naples will be at 9:55 a.m. and 3 p.m., and from Newark at 5:10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. local time. The doubling of the flight was decided by United Airlines following last season's excellent results.

The "historic" flight from Lamezia Terme.
We close the map of connections with the unusual but now traditional direct flight (operated for several years before Covid) between Lamezia Terme and Toronto.
The summer route is operated by Air Transat once a week from June 15 until the end of September with A330 aircraft. The flight takes off on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Calabria And arrives at 6:10 p.m.
The return is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 p.m. with landing in Lamezia 12 noon the following day.
